Supporting Survivors

2 hour workshop in Trauma-Informed Perinatal Support

7:00pm -9:00 pm, Wednesday Feb 12

$39

As a perinatal professional, you are already supporting survivors giving birth. 1 in 3 women experience childhood sexual abuse. Countless more come into pregnancy with histories of sexual, physical, and emotional trauma; many have experiences of miscarriage, loss, or birth trauma. These numbers can feel overwhelming, but there is so much that can be done to ensure every person giving birth feels safe, respected, and heard. And there is already so much experience and wisdom in the birth community to be shared.

A circle of Wisdom

Join us for an interactive workshop in providing trauma-informed perinatal support. Our goal is to facilitate a lively discussion on topics such as

  • responding to disclosures of trauma

  • creating a trauma-informed birth plan

  • anticipating and responding to triggers in pregnancy, birth, and postpartum

  • self-care and vicarious trauma

Answers and support are already in the birth community. All doulas, birth workers, and other perinatal professionals are welcome. Let’s create a circle of wisdom together
